VII OVIEDO HALF MARATHON

Article 1. Organization

The Más o Menos Sports Club is organizing the VII Oviedo Half Marathon, which will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., starting near the Oviedo Sports Palace and finishing on Calle Uría (Plaza de la Escandalera).

 

The headquarters of the Más o Menos Sports Club is located at C/ Río Narcea nº 6, ground floor, 33010 Oviedo (Asturias).

Article 2. Participants

The event is open to all people, whether affiliated with a federation or not, regardless of gender, who have turned 18 years old on the day of the race and correctly complete their registration.

 

Registration will be done through the online platform enabled by the organization, up to a minimum of 10 days before the test or until the maximum number of places is filled.

Article 3. Collection of bib numbers

Race numbers will be distributed at the sports department on the first floor of El Corte Inglés in Salesas, Oviedo, on Thursday the 8th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday the 9th from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday the 10th from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. These numbers are personal and non-transferable. To collect your race number, you will need to present your ID card or other document proving your identity.

Federated personnel must present their valid federation license. Collecting another runner's race number will be permitted with their authorization.

Article 4. Route and duration

Circuit of 21,095 meters through urban and interurban routes, on asphalt, starting in the vicinity of the Sports Palace of Oviedo and finishing on Uría Street in Oviedo at the height of the Plaza de la Escandalera.

- The maximum time to cover the distance will be 3 hours.
- The route will be controlled and monitored by the Oviedo Local Police with the collaboration of the organization.
- Each kilometer will be marked by an indicator panel.
- Any type of accompaniment, other than from the organization itself, is prohibited.
- Participants should run in the right-hand lane of the roadway, preferably.
- Participation with wheelchairs, "han-bikes", or similar is not permitted.
- You cannot participate with skates, skateboards, bicycles, or similar items except those authorized or approved by the Organization.
- They will not be allowed to run while pushing baby strollers, nor carry children in their arms during the route.

Article 5. Conditions of participation

Article 6. Categories

Male and Female:
- Promise: 18 to 22 years old.
- Senior: from 23 to 34 years old.
- Veteran A: 35 to 44 years old.
- Veteran B: 45 to 54 years old.
- Veteran C: from 55 years of age.
- State Security Forces and Corps.

For each category, age on race day will be taken into account. The organizers may request documentation showing the participants' date of birth. Failure to provide this documentation may result in disqualification.

Article 7. Trophies and awards

All registered runners who participate in the race will receive a commemorative gift. The top three finishers overall will receive a cash prize.

1st and 1st place in the overall standings…. €200
2nd and 2nd place in the overall standings…… €100
3rd and 3rd place in the overall standings…… €50

The first male and female runners to pass through the checkpoint located near San Miguel de Lillo will receive the "Monuments Effort" Prize of €100.

Prize of €100 for the male runner (1h 11´ 31´´) and female runner (1h 23´ 22´´) who manages to lower the time of the race.

There will be trophies for the top three in each category.

The awards and trophies will be presented immediately after all participants cross the finish line, in the organization's tent located in the Plaza de la Escandalera in Oviedo. If the winner is not present at the time of the presentation, they will forfeit their right to the trophy.

Article 8. Arbitrator

The official appointed by the Más o Menos organizing committee will resolve any technical issues by interpreting the race regulations. For matters not covered by these regulations, the IAAF rules will apply.

Article 9. Career Control

The timing will be managed by staff from CD Más o Menos. Times will be recorded using a chip timing system. There will be timing checkpoints at the start, at kilometer 13.5, and at the finish line. Only chips provided by the organizers are valid. Race time will only be recorded if the participant is correctly wearing their personal chip. Improper use of the chip will result in exclusion from the official race results. The race director may disqualify and prohibit the participation of any athlete who does not comply with the Foreign Participant Regulations or who falsifies their registration information.

Article 10. Appeals

Any claims relating to the classification must be made in writing, within half an hour after the publication of the results, to the Referee Judge. The Referee Judge's decision will be final.

Article 11. Liquid supplies

There will be aid stations, according to IAAF regulations, approximately at kilometers 4-8-10-13.5-16-18 of the course, as well as in the Finish area.

Article 12. Insurance

All participating athletes must hold a valid National or Regional Federation License (from the FAP.A.). Those who do not possess one will be provided with a "Day License." The Athletics Federation of the Principality of Asturias will arrange Accident and Liability Insurance, a "Day License," for athletes who do not hold a National or Regional Federation License (from the FAP.A.).

Article 13. Refund of the registration fee

The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances, except in case of injury or force majeure, upon request and justification with a medical report (in case of injury).

Only the aforementioned refunds will be processed, provided they are requested before September 20th, via email to the club at info@mediamaratonoviedo.com, indicating: name and
surnames, ID number, address and telephone number of the registered person, as well as attaching a copy of the medical report that proves the injury.

Article 14. Registrations

Registration will open shortly on the online platform created for this event:

- €31 until September 20th.
- €41 from September 21st to October 4th.
- €3 MORE FOR NON-FEDERATED RUNNERS, CORRESPONDING TO THE DAY LICENSE
- €1 FROM EACH REGISTRATION WILL BE A DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE GALBÁN ASSOCIATION (Association against Childhood Cancer). Plus the voluntary contribution of each runner.

FOR REGISTRATIONS FROM SEPTEMBER 2ND ONWARDS, THE SHIRT SIZE CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.

Article 15. Disqualifications

Athletes who do not heed the instructions of the judges of the Asturian Athletics Federation, Organization, Local Police and/or Civil Protection, those who do not pass through any control point and/or those who do not wear their bib number visibly will be disqualified.
